There is a lot of circumstantial evidence. There is just no smoking gun, yet.
Sometimes people just get hyped up to kill someone and if they don't find someone they want they attack someone else they recognise.
The summer after I left school a group of kids from my class (16 year olds) who were involved in drugs went looking for someone who'd ripped them off. They couldn't find them and bumped into two other random kids who went to the same school but were not involved in anything dodgy at all. One ran away, the other didn't and was stabbed to death. The kid who died was the nicest, most gentle kid you'd ever meet. Absolute tragedy.

Looks obvious they did it but at the moment no actual evidence. Hopefully today will throw up some DNA link.

fraser at no point was I implying that Jodie was involved in drugs I was saying that it was a drug related death as the report states.
She was just an Innocent victim murdered by scum

There MAY be a correlation e.g. they thought they'd attack someone they knew rather than a total stranger... but even if that was the case, it did not CAUSE this to happen.
Correlation and cause are very different.
In a lot of these cases you never find out the reason because the perpetrators never explain. Sadly I'm guessing this will happen in this case.
God rest her soul, poor kid.

fraser, i think if you see my posts they completely agree with you that she did nothing to initiate this attack and is in no way responsible for what happened to her. Its the article that sights that she was smoking puff over the park and was stabbed by individuals that may have sold the puff she was smoking or at the very least were known to her friends who had previously sold them drugs. Its hardly surprising that her friends say they didnt know who did it, that maybe true but given the level of violence displayed by the youths of today it could be that they are terrified to identify the culprits through fear of reprisals.

Jim.. That's like saying someone met someone down the pub and stabbed them 3 months later at the park so it's alcohol related..
My point was Jodie did nothing to initiate what happened to her because of drugs.

Other articles say the police have used cctv, mobile phone data records and witnesses seeing them in a black vauxhall astra. Its pretty safe to say they done it and are just chancing their arm with a not guilty plea

excuse my ignorance as i have done no reading on this at all other than the short C&P below.
But what evidence do they have linking these guys to the murder other than they may or may not have been selling drugs in the area? the post below says that none of her friends could identify the attackers.

The article that comma stuck up was pretty clear and intimates that Jodie and her mates were smoking weed and listening to music. Her friends had bought weed from the killers previously. In no way does this girl deserve anything that has happened and smoking a bit of draw really is on the level of drinking a couple of cans of fosters over the local park but it would appear that her friends would never have had any previous engagements with the scumbags that did this had it not been for buying drugs off them historically. Obviously this is all assuming that the article is correct in what it says. What a tragic and massive waste, poor poor girl.

Yes but Jodie from what '67 has said wasn't involved in drugs.
So some blokes had previously sold her friends some weed, previously being the key word doesn't make the stabbing drug related

The article C+P by comma says that the little pricks who did this had form for selling drugs in the past to the poor victim's friends so definitely implies drugs are involved. That said im shocked that this could occur over a bunch of little scrotes serving up a bit of puff.
